These are just a handful of headshot styles & settings. Our number one request is Headshots for LinkedIn, followed by headshots for teams, acting, modeling and talent and lifestyle headshots. Whatever your goal, I am up for it!
To answer a few common questions: Many of these outdoor samples were actually studio headshots. About 60% of my sessions are location headshots, and about more than half of those request full team or staff headshots. Similarly, some below that appear to be studio headshots may have been shot location headshots where the portable studio option was chosen.
Not all group portraits are how they were originally posed. More recently (thank you COVID), we have been creating group headshots from individual portraits. (HR depts. keep my artist busy “installing” new staff members or retiring others.) Unlike green screen photography, our clean, bright white (not off-white or grey) option can be used both as a digital knock-out or as a white background. From there a colored key-line border can give you creative flexibility - perfect for branding photography.

Senior portraits were my sole focus for my first 12 years of business.
Post recession I turned my attention to talent, beauty and business headshots because they increased my diversity of clientele at a time many needed to change directions in the job market.
I stopped my senior rep program, deciding that I wanted my seniors to choose me for what I delivered and not by the influence of someone that gained financially from referrals. Taking care of those who found me on their own led to record business in 2021 and 2022. Word of mouth far exceeded my Yelp & Google searchers, so I decided it was time to say THANK YOU for that!..

Yes, I have a studio, but I’ve been shooting outdoor senior portraits since I was a high school senior myself. Inside outside or a mix, I do it all.

We’ll design a session to match your personality, in or out the studio. There are some great background options near the studio if a shorter session is your preference, but the studio door will lock long enough for beach sessions as well.

I funded my studio with several years’ savings from retail, with a passion for marketing and merchandising. Little did I know that it was preparing me for my career as a photographer. Though static product images are mostly technical (lighting, exposure & aesthetics) LIFESTYLE photography blended my aptitude for the psychology of consumers, and directing subjects to create appeal for your customers.

In 2008 I turned my focus from portrait services (seniors, family & kids) to commercial services. Though I’d prefer to show my B2B (biz to biz) clients that I’m committed to a marketing mindset, my roots are deep in the categories that brought me most of my book covers, accolades and peer recognition.
As you’ll see, I’m not a prop-heavy studio. My style is either nature-forward, personality focused or dramatic black and white. If these styles appeal to you, I’d be happy to work with you and your family.

COVID safety measures updated September 19, 2022. In sum, I will only wear a mask when you select this option at booking. I am perfectly fine doing so, especially knowing how many of my clients have shared their safety needs as, or living with, an immunocompromised relative. PLEASE be sure to still adhere to the preventative lessons we’ve all learned by now - respectfully rescheduling if you’re not feeling optimal or living with someone that is quarantining. I’ll happily change your session time to accommodate.
