Dating Profile Photography
The “True You” Session
Online dating begins with a photo.
But most profiles rely on casual snapshots that don’t really show who someone is.
True You sessions go beyond traditional headshots. They’re lifestyle photography experiences designed to reveal the real person behind the profile - in authentic environments, doing things you genuinely enjoy.
The goal isn’t to create a persona.
It’s to help the right person recognize you … the TRUE YOU!
Many of my headshot clients began requesting photography specifically for dating profiles. The goal is very different from business headshots or acting portraits.
Instead of projecting authority or performance, these sessions focus on warmth, approachability, and authenticity.
We might photograph you walking through your favorite neighborhood, enjoying a café, spending time outdoors, or doing something that reflects your real lifestyle.
When someone sees your profile, the ideal reaction is simple:
“I’d enjoy meeting this person.”
Professional dating photography isn’t about creating a polished façade. It’s about presenting the best version of your genuine self.
Strong images communicate personality immediately. They convey confidence, warmth, and approachability long before someone reads a profile description.
When done well, these photos don’t just attract more attention. They attract the right attention from people who resonate with who you truly are.
More samples will be added once permission is received. We honor the privacy of our clients.
All shown here are confirmed to be married or long-time relationships. Not claiming credit, but you may be surprised how often I’m asked. : ^)
That said, my work has connected me with some amazing professional matchmakers and relationship coaches, like Coach Jen.
IMPORTANT NOTE
These sessions are designed to help people present their authentic selves while looking for meaningful relationships.
They are not intended to create misleading profiles or portray someone as something they are not. My work is rooted in authenticity and respect, and I do not participate in deceptive or exploitative uses of photography.
If your intention is to present the real you and attract someone who appreciates that, this process can be incredibly effective.
If you’ve ever felt that typical dating profile photos don’t fully represent who you are, a True You session can change that.
Together, we’ll create a small collection of natural, lifestyle-driven images that help someone feel like they already know you a little before they even say hello.
CHOOSE & BOOK A SESSION BELOW
Not sure which package? Click this button for the session planning form. This will help us design the right session for your personality.
Once completed, you’ll find another button to book a phone consultation to discuss your preferences and plan the most efficient location(s) to provide some variety.
IMPORTANT: If you typo your email, you won’t receive a confirmation. If you don’t receive a confirmation my calendar will remain open to another booking (it’s happened … awkward…)
That extra 15 seconds can save you a great deal of time showing up without a confirmed appointment. I’m often working offsite and do my best to prevent those awkward phone calls from my locked door. : ^) Looking forward to working with you! - Brian
SESSIONS are not about the qty of images, rather the amount of time, therefore quality. The price variance is mostly about the added time needed to make sure that we provide you an effective variety. In most cases, six images are plenty, but two hours provides a better starting point for outdoorsy people. The longer the session, the more images we include so that you can mix it up with variety between profiles and social media uses.
One of Nissa’s favorites from her True You 25 session (Full three hours was outdoor)
True You 25 - 1598.
A three hour session that allows you time for both studio and location options - or use it all at one location to increase our creative time. (we’ll sort those details during your free consultation)
Unlimited clothing choices at two unique locations. (Driving time reduces photography time.)
Includes all digitals plus your top 25 images retouched. (The best way to keep your profiles fresh with a great variety of images)
Retouched for incidental blemishes only to keep you looking real.
One of Brian Bradley’s favorites from his True You 12. (30 min indoor, the rest outdoor)

One of Graham (Sandy) Salisbury’s session favorites. He’s a musician, author & painter, but mostly - he is joyful. This defines True You.

Why True You rather than a regular headshot session?..
After more than 25 years creating professional headshots - and photographing thousands of high school seniors - one thing has become clear: many people feel uncomfortable telling a photographer that their images are intended for dating profiles.
A basic headshot can work, but if I know your goals in advance, we can design a session that gives you far more useful images.
There is a big difference between a business portrait and images intended to attract a life partner. Business headshots are designed to attract professional connections. Dating images need to reveal personality, warmth, and authenticity.
That usually requires more than a single look on a flat background.
True You sessions create a small collection of images that show different sides of who you are - confident, thoughtful, energetic, relaxed. Together, they give someone a more complete sense of the person they may be meeting.
Online, people make a first impression in seconds. One strong image may grab attention, but several authentic images help someone feel confident that what they are seeing is real.
These sessions are designed for people seeking meaningful relationships, not quick attention or superficial impressions.
My specialty is capturing natural expressions - genuine smiles, relaxed confidence, and moments that reflect who you truly are.
The goal is simple: create images that allow someone to feel like they already know you a little before they ever say hello.
Once you book a consultation, I’ll send a short set of questions to help spark ideas for locations, activities, and the overall direction of your session so we can make the most of our time together.
Design a session that says - true you.
My goal isn’t to load up your calendar with dates. It’s to create images that reflect the real you so clearly that the first meeting simply confirms what someone already saw in your profile. I can attest from my now-married, True You Session clients, that this is exactly what they found to be effective. #authenticity
